Camp Benny is operated by 
Kidcam Camps, a high-caliber provider with 50+ years of experience and the trust of 5,000+ families each year. We will use Kidcam’s registration and operations model, layering on special training to accommodate our campers.
Camp Director
Darbi Philibert, a distinguished occupational therapist and dedicated advocate for children with special needs, brings a wealth of expertise to her role as Camp Director for Camp Benny. With almost three decades of experience as a pediatric occupational therapist, Darbi has devoted her career to fostering inclusion and enhancing the developmental outcomes of children with autism and other developmental challenges using a family-centered, team approach. She is a Certified Autism Specialist and the owner of Thrive Therapeutics, providing custom-tailored therapeutic intervention that enables and inspires each child to do and be their best.
Program Coordinators
Kaitlyn Sandlin is a dedicated and compassionate elementary educator with a heart for creating inclusive, nurturing learning environments. With experience as both a general education and special education teacher, she has worked across a variety of classroom settings, always striving to meet the unique needs of every child. Kaitlyn currently teaches first grade in a special education inclusive classroom, where she fosters a space where all students feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow. Her passion lies in helping children thrive not only academically, but also socially, emotionally, and developmentally—believing that every child deserves the opportunity to flourish as their whole self.
Staff Training
Camp Benny staff receives special training from clinical professionals with experience in behavior management, sensory integration and regulation skills.
